I wish, I wish, I wish

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Lucky Star.”

I’ve been granted three wishes, anything I want. So what shall I wish for? I thought about this long and hard, sure I can wish for love, money, success, happiness, world peace. But, do I really want someone to just hand me this…..? I came across this and it made me think….

Sure three wishes would be great! But, I think I’d rather work for it, a wish is nothing but a goal without a plan. Instead of saying “I wish” I’m going to say “I will!” I will keep giving the best that I can, learning, loving others and myself. I will continue to fail, fall, learn from my mistakes, and make a difference. Nothing in this journey is easy, so thanks for the wishes but I’ll pass.

Just a Thought

No matter what type of relationship it is friendship or romantic, both parties involved are going to need to put in time, have patience, and the willingness to work at it. Just because things are hard one cannot give up, there will be brighter days.

Happiness

The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy – it’s all that matters.

Audrey Hepburn

Make sure you do things and surround yourself with people who make you happy, and encourage you to grow. Have a happy weekend!!

Each and Every Day

“Each life is made up of mistakes and learning, waiting and growing, practicing patience and being persistent”. ~ Billy Graham

Things we do or should do on a daily basis, if you make a mistake don’t be so hard on yourself…..you’re human, its bound to happen. Learning from the mistake is what matters the most.

A simple “Good Morning”, “Hello”, or “Thank You” goes a long way. Don’t expect people to bend over backwards for you, if you are unwilling to do the simplest things.

Have a happy and productive week! 🙂

Midterm Elections 2014

Let me start off by saying that this is my first time voting for Midterm Elections. I’ve always been one of those people who didn’t think that these elections were all that big of a deal. I guess as you get older and start to really pay attention of what’s going on in your community, then the importance of them start to make sense…..I guess its true when they say awareness is key.

Whether the selected officials of my choice wins or not, I will no longer be in that group of people who rants and rave about what the people in political office should or shouldn’t be doing. If you want change, then you must do your part no matter how big or small you think it is!

I did my part now its time for you to do the same! Get out there and vote on Tuesday, November 4th! Every vote counts.
