What’s the longest stretch you’ve ever pulled off of posting daily to your blog? What did you learn about blogging through that achievement, and what made you break the streak?
(If you’re a NaBloPoMo participant, congratulations on reaching your goal!)
Whew! This has been a long, but enjoyable month of blogging. I participated in NaBloPoMo, which is a month long posting everyday event. I must admit that I did miss a few days, but hey life happens and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished throughout the month. I give thanks for Daily Prompt, I like to think that I’m creative, but thinking of a new post everyday can be exhausting.
I have learned that posting pictures and quotes are just as effective. Being committed to something and seeing it through, is self rewarding. I will continue to blog on a regular basis, although it may not be everyday, I enjoy the feeling I have when writing and being able to connect with others.
Under the Snow
You were caught in an avalanche. To be rescued, you need to make it through the night. What thought(s) would give you the strength to go through such a scary, dangerous situation?
I’m trapped under the snow and what a scary situation I’m finding myself in, what to do, what to do, what to do….
Stay clam (at least as much as I can in this situation) and take deep breathes, step one – check. √
Think of positive and happier times. Think about the people that matter the most to me, the special moments we’ve shared, and the ones that are to come. This will definitely help me through the night, step two – check. √
Be patient, wait it out, and sleep at least as much as I can. Because tomorrow is a new day and help is on the way!
Help has arrived, step three – check. √
Its all about learning from them and the experience.
This is a skill that takes time and comes with growth. Saying “I’m sorry” doesn’t make one weak, it takes a bigger and stronger person to say this. Especially if the person wants a better understanding and to grow the relationship at hand.
Just a thought
Daily Prompt: Grateful and Guilty
Whether it’s a trashy TV show, extra-pulpy fiction, or nutrient-free candy, write a thank-you note to your guiltiest guilty pleasure (thanks for the prompt suggestion, Sarah!)
Dear Guilty Pleasure,
I just want to say thank you to the three guys in my life, that never let me down, Ben & Jerry and Robert Mondavi. You guys were there for the sad times and the happy ones, the celebratory moments as well as the lonely ones, and all without judgement. You’re only but a few minutes away, no matter the time of day. So for you I am most grateful.
What’s your idea of a perfect day off: one during which you can quietly relax, doing nothing, or one with one fun activity lined up after the other? Tell us how you’d spend your time.
With that special someone…..
That’s it in a nut shell…….need I say more 🙂
Is there a period in your own personal life that you think of as the good old days? Tell us a story about those innocent and/or exciting times (or lack thereof).
“Back in the day when I was young I’m not a kid anymore”. The good old days, everyone has them and most remember them. For me the good old days would be being a teenager, went something like this….
In high school with no real worries
when dating was oh so much easier!
when I didn’t really have any major responsibilities
breaking curfew (sorry mom and dad) 🙂
riding in cars with
boys, I mean with my girlfriends (again sorry mom) 🙂
Ahh, the good old days!
You’ve been given a key that can open one building, room, locker, or box to which you don’t normally have access. How do you use it, and why?
I’ve got the golden key, a key that can unlock any place I would like to go for one day….what to do, where to go, a key to the unknown, but there really isn’t any place I would like to go. So how about a nonphysical place, a place that holds memories and dreams, I’d like to unlock that door. The door to my fondest memories and my wildest dreams….now that would be something.
Present-day you meets 10-years-ago you for coffee. Share with your younger self the most challenging thing, the most rewarding thing, and the most fun thing they have to look forward to.
Where do I start…..
Look kid! Enjoy life, don’t be in such a rush to get where you’re going. Everyone has there own pace, just enjoy the moments. You’ll go through some really tough times that will suck I’m not even going to lie, but those times will make you a stronger person, that I do promise. You will have some really amazing moments and accomplishment, enjoy those moments and be proud of yourself and your hard work.
Always do your best, cherish friendships, live in the moment, laugh, love, travel, and most importantly be happy. Now go and enjoy your life!
This goes for friends who are like your family. Cherish and appreciate the moments you have with them.
