Guilty Pleasures

Daily Prompt: Grateful and Guilty

Whether it’s a trashy TV show, extra-pulpy fiction, or nutrient-free candy, write a thank-you note to your guiltiest guilty pleasure (thanks for the prompt suggestion, Sarah!)

Dear Guilty Pleasure,

I just want to say thank you to the three guys in my life, that never let me down, Ben & Jerry and Robert Mondavi. You guys were there for the sad times and the happy ones, the celebratory moments as well as the lonely ones, and all without judgement. You’re only but a few minutes away, no matter the time of day. So for you I am most grateful.

Thank you,

Me

Coffee Date with the Younger Me

Good Tidings

Present-day you meets 10-years-ago you for coffee. Share with your younger self the most challenging thing, the most rewarding thing, and the most fun thing they have to look forward to.

Where do I start…..

Look kid! Enjoy life, don’t be in such a rush to get where you’re going. Everyone has there own pace, just enjoy the moments. You’ll go through some really tough times that will suck I’m not even going to lie, but those times will make you a stronger person, that I do promise. You will have some really amazing moments and accomplishment, enjoy those moments and be proud of yourself and your hard work.

Always do your best, cherish friendships, live in the moment, laugh, love, travel, and most importantly be happy. Now go and enjoy your life!

Oil, Meet Water

Of the people who are close to you, who is the person most unlike you? What makes it possible for you to get along?

I guess it is true, that opposites attract. I have this one friend, and well we’re not completely opposite, but there are enough differences between us, to call us opposites. For example, I’m more of a optimist and their more of a realist. I’m more of a planner and their more of a whatever happens, happens. I’m a vegetarian, they’re a meat eater. Whatever the difference is, we seem to make it work. We seem to balance each other out, I guess you can say this person is the yin to my yang! And like all of the people that I am close to the most, I am truly grateful for this person. We may butt heads, but this person is there when I need them the most.
