In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Lucky Star.”
I’ve been granted three wishes, anything I want. So what shall I wish for? I thought about this long and hard, sure I can wish for love, money, success, happiness, world peace. But, do I really want someone to just hand me this…..? I came across this and it made me think….
Sure three wishes would be great! But, I think I’d rather work for it, a wish is nothing but a goal without a plan. Instead of saying “I wish” I’m going to say “I will!” I will keep giving the best that I can, learning, loving others and myself. I will continue to fail, fall, learn from my mistakes, and make a difference. Nothing in this journey is easy, so thanks for the wishes but I’ll pass.
If you keep re-living the past, how can you expect to grow and be happy? Live, learn, and move on to the next best thing in store for you. Here’s to new beginnings, journeys, challenges, and memories.
Happy New Year!!
Step out of your comfort zone and see that the possibilities are endless!! Don’t be afraid to take a risk, you’ll be surprise what the outcome may be.

What’s the longest stretch you’ve ever pulled off of posting daily to your blog? What did you learn about blogging through that achievement, and what made you break the streak?
(If you’re a NaBloPoMo participant, congratulations on reaching your goal!)
Whew! This has been a long, but enjoyable month of blogging. I participated in NaBloPoMo, which is a month long posting everyday event. I must admit that I did miss a few days, but hey life happens and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished throughout the month. I give thanks for Daily Prompt, I like to think that I’m creative, but thinking of a new post everyday can be exhausting.
I have learned that posting pictures and quotes are just as effective. Being committed to something and seeing it through, is self rewarding. I will continue to blog on a regular basis, although it may not be everyday, I enjoy the feeling I have when writing and being able to connect with others.
Under the Snow
You were caught in an avalanche. To be rescued, you need to make it through the night. What thought(s) would give you the strength to go through such a scary, dangerous situation?
I’m trapped under the snow and what a scary situation I’m finding myself in, what to do, what to do, what to do….
Stay clam (at least as much as I can in this situation) and take deep breathes, step one – check. √
Think of positive and happier times. Think about the people that matter the most to me, the special moments we’ve shared, and the ones that are to come. This will definitely help me through the night, step two – check. √
Be patient, wait it out, and sleep at least as much as I can. Because tomorrow is a new day and help is on the way!
Help has arrived, step three – check. √
Its all about learning from them and the experience.
This is a skill that takes time and comes with growth. Saying “I’m sorry” doesn’t make one weak, it takes a bigger and stronger person to say this. Especially if the person wants a better understanding and to grow the relationship at hand.

Daily Prompt: Grateful and Guilty
Whether it’s a trashy TV show, extra-pulpy fiction, or nutrient-free candy, write a thank-you note to your guiltiest guilty pleasure (thanks for the prompt suggestion, Sarah!)
Dear Guilty Pleasure,
I just want to say thank you to the three guys in my life, that never let me down, Ben & Jerry and Robert Mondavi. You guys were there for the sad times and the happy ones, the celebratory moments as well as the lonely ones, and all without judgement. You’re only but a few minutes away, no matter the time of day. So for you I am most grateful.
What’s your idea of a perfect day off: one during which you can quietly relax, doing nothing, or one with one fun activity lined up after the other? Tell us how you’d spend your time.
With that special someone…..
That’s it in a nut shell…….need I say more 🙂
Is there a period in your own personal life that you think of as the good old days? Tell us a story about those innocent and/or exciting times (or lack thereof).
“Back in the day when I was young I’m not a kid anymore”. The good old days, everyone has them and most remember them. For me the good old days would be being a teenager, went something like this….
In high school with no real worries
when dating was oh so much easier!
when I didn’t really have any major responsibilities
breaking curfew (sorry mom and dad) 🙂
riding in cars with
boys, I mean with my girlfriends (again sorry mom) 🙂
Ahh, the good old days!
